The result depends on your starting color and is always personalized: if your hair is light, the result will be a medium or dark brown with shiny reflections , while if your hair is darker, you will get a dark brown or brown with strong shades .
INCI: Indigofera Tinctoria (Indigo) Leaf Powder, Lawsonia Inermis (Henna) Leaf Powder, Emblica Officinalis (Amla) Fruit Powder, Eclipta Alba (Bhringaraj) Leaf Powder, Azadirachta Indica (Neem) Leaf Powder
- Henna dyes hair delicately, ensuring a long-lasting result. This orange-red substance is obtained from the crushed stems and leaves of the henna shrub. During coloring, henna pigments are deposited on each hair like a colored veil. Your hair will be more robust and shiny.
- Indigo is obtained from the leaves of the plant of the same name. Its extract dyes the hair a deep blue, indigo, and gives the hair a shade with an intense character. In this shade the indigo gives intensity to the color and makes it darker, even if your hair is completely grey.
- Amla is a fruit rich in vitamin C and has a very sour taste. Indians revere this fruit for its numerous properties: alma is effective against colds, protects against allergies and strengthens the immune system. This vitamin-rich fruit strengthens the skin, hair and is believed to stimulate hair growth.
- Bhringaraj is considered in Ayurveda to be a real source of youth for hair and scalp: this plant has fortifying, stimulating properties and combats hair loss and the appearance of gray hair. Furthermore, the bhringaraj decoction, with its typical dark colour, gives the khadi Hair Dye an intense colour.
HOW TO USE: First wash your hair with a silicone-free shampoo, such as khadi Amla Shampoo or Rose Hair Repair Shampoo. In the case of medium blonde or lighter hair, or in the case of bleached, highlighted or very brittle hair, we recommend pre-colouring with khadi Pure Henné or khadi Light Brown shades.
Then mix the khadi Natural Hair Dye mixture with hot water at a temperature of 50 °C until you obtain a creamy consistency. Distribute the mixture evenly through the hair with a brush: strand by strand up to the tip. If you want to dye only the roots, do not apply the dye to the lengths and ends. Be careful to distribute the dye evenly throughout your hair and massage it well so that it envelops each hair.
LAYING TIME: Leave the natural dye to act for a period of time between 30-120 minutes. The longer you leave it to act, the darker the final color tone will be. If you have already used this shade to dye your hair and just want to brighten up the color, leave the dye on for 15-30 minutes. Then rinse off the dye with warm water only. Do not use shampoo for 24-48 hours. This is in fact the period of time necessary for the color to develop in all its intensity.
To fix the color pigments in your hair, you can use a khadi hair oil before the first wash, such as Amla oil. Leave the oil to act for at least 20 minutes and then wash your hair with a natural shampoo. This way your khadi shade will last longer.
Each head of hair has its own particularity, which is why when using a natural dye the result may vary. To ensure that you are satisfied with the final result, we recommend that you try the khadi Natural Dye on a non-visible strand before proceeding with the complete colouring.
