A bit of history :
The Aromatic Paper of Eritrea was created in 1927 by Dr. Vittoriano Casanova, a pharmacist in Piacenza, who after more than three years of research created an Officinal Aromatic Paper that, through fumigation, could persistently perfume environments in accordance with the Official Pharmacopoeias of some Northern European countries.
The Aromatic Paper of Eritrea has been produced since then with the same formulation, composed of a mix of over 30 natural essential oils, the majority of which are of African and Asian origin, musks and resins. The latter are still pulverized by hand in a mortar and left to infuse in pure alcohol for weeks. The bibulous paper composed of pure cellulose is soaked by adsorption with the final mixture, and after drying it is cut and die-cut to create the classic " booklets ".
The extraordinary scent of Carta Aromatica d'Eritrea, released by the combustion of the strips, is made without the use of artificial colorants or fragrances reconstructed in the laboratory. With the inimitable fragrance of Carta Aromatica d'Eritrea, a complete line of products for the fragrance of rooms, cars and for Aromatherapy is created.
Eritrean Aromatic Paper is considered non-toxic and harmless even during combustion.
