Stop testing on animals - LAV

Cosmetic products in which you find this wording have been certified compliant with the International Standard "Stop animal testing" promoted in Italy by LAV and controlled by ICEA. This is currently the only internationally recognized specification able to indicate to consumers the cosmetics manufacturing companies that have decided not to contribute to animal testing.

The participating companies undertake to:

-not carry out – either directly or by commissioning third parties – tests on animals;
-monitor their suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that they comply with the commitment not to test cosmetic raw materials on animals after the date set in the subscription to the Standard;
-do not use ingredients derived from the killing of animals.

In the European Union, the decisive stop provided for by the legislative Directive on the matter came into force on 11 March 2013, which imposes the ban on experimenting on animals, or importing, even cosmetic ingredients, thanks to the commitment of LAV, the European Coalition to end animal experiments, and cruelty-free companies.
