ICEA Eco Bio Cosmetics certification

ICEA is the Institute for Ethical and Environmental Certification, a consortium that controls and certifies companies that carry out their activities with respect for man and the environment, protecting the dignity of workers and the rights of consumers. Icea is among the most important organizations in the sector in Italy and Europe, where it works to promote fair and socially sustainable development that extends from organic agriculture to other bioecological sectors. ICEA certifies both Food and Non-Food sectors.

Eco Bio Cosmesi products are characterised by:

-the use of raw materials from organic farming or spontaneous collection
-the absence of ecologically questionable materials in the products, both in the product itself and in the packaging
-the absence of non-vegetable raw materials considered "at risk", i.e. allergenic, irritant or with evidence of probable damage to human health
-reducing the environmental impact due to superfluous (single packs) or non-recyclable packaging (packaging made from renewable raw materials, recyclable materials or linked to an empty return system are promoted)

The guiding criteria in choosing the permitted raw materials were:

-low toxicity and absence of unwanted effects on humans
-low environmental impact
-dermocompatibility
