Ghassoul clay has been known among the populations of North Africa and the Middle East since the 12th-12th century when this clay, called saponiferous, was used for washing. The term Ghassoul or Rassoul in fact derives from the verb Rassala which in Arabic means to wash. This mineral is extracted in Morocco in underground deposits on the edges of the Middle Atlas, a part of the Atlas mountain range present in Morocco. The extraction takes place in underground mine galleries and once extracted it is washed to eliminate impurities after which it is spread on flat surfaces and dried.

Using this clay for cleaning means using a 100% natural and biodegradable product that does not require disposal processes and that will give far superior results compared to traditional detergents with chemical agents.

Using Ghassoul is to experience the sensation and to have the certainty that Ecological Cosmetics is often superior to conventional products. We strongly wanted to focus on this wonderful gift of nature, which Tea imports directly from Morocco.
For many years, Ghassoul has been the indispensable element in all preparations for the hammam (Turkish bath) in the Arab world. A natural and organic mineral, this saponiferous clay is intended for the beauty of the body and hair, to be used as a hair washing cream, as a face mask and to gently cleanse the body; it softens the epidermis, reduces sebum secretion, regenerates the skin, eliminating dead cells, maintaining the balance of the pores. Recommended for sensitive and allergic skin, ghassoul perfectly cleanses the skin, eliminating impurities, especially blackheads.
Ghassoul is an excellent hair strengthener and is recommended for all hair types. It degreases without impoverishing or drying, regulates sebum secretion while giving hair a shiny and silky appearance.
In fact, thanks to its emulsifying qualities, degreasing action and its completely harmless characteristics, Ghassoul is used in hair washing and acts as a natural shampoo, cleaning and degreasing, without damaging, hair and scalp. Hair treated with Ghassoul has exceptional shine and softness.
