Satch is a backpack brand for kids that perfectly combines functionality and design. Inspired by trekking backpacks and mountain sports, Satch has created a unique backpack that shifts the weight to the pelvis, in order to protect the back, equipped with the integrated Your-Size-System that makes sure that your satch fits perfectly.
Satch backpacks, in the models match, pack and sleek, are certified as "ergonomic products" by the Institute for Health and Ergonomics (IGR), which during the test, determines the degree of adaptation of a product to the physical characteristics of the people tested on the basis of certain standards in force. The models have convinced and are now entitled to carry the IGR quality mark.
In 2020, the company also won the IGR Innovation Award with its ergonomic concept, thus offering a proven ergonomic solution for students' backs.
Alongside the attention to the health of children, there is also that towards the environment. For the production of Satch backpacks, fabrics obtained up to 100% from recycled PET bottles are used. And so, plastic waste finds a new use and the consumption of natural resources is reduced. To be attentive to an eco-compatible production process, they are partners of bluesign®️.
In order to improve working conditions in its production sites around the world, Satch joined the FAIR WEAR FOUNDATION (FWF) and achieved the leader status of the Fair Wear Foundation in 2019, thus becoming one of the few companies to receive the highest possible recognition from this organization. By joining this foundation, the company commits, together with its suppliers, to respect the "Code of Labour Practices", a strict code of conduct regarding working conditions.
In 2016, the company also received the "Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis" (German Sustainability Award) for its responsible corporate management, a top priority since the company's inception.
