In the early 80s, before there was a brand, there was a man in his garage in Dublin who knitted and made sweaters to keep his family warm. His name was Jim O'Sullivan and his dream was to create a business that his family could work in for generations. He bought his first knitting machine and IrelandsEye Knitwear was born.
They set up their first factory in 1987 and started with six family members, initially producing knitwear for other brands. In 1994, they began a new chapter by launching the… IrelandsEye Knitwear line.
They are inspired by the nature, colours and textures of the Irish coastal landscape. The knitwear is designed to offer comfort and warmth and to protect against the merciless winds of the Atlantic Ocean. They reinterpret the traditional Aran stitches with a modern twist, with fresh designs and a contemporary look.
Proudly made in Ireland, lovingly crafted and hand finished, with distinctive designs and quality yarns. The factory currently employs 50 workers, using high-tech machines and hand-finishing the women's and men's jumpers, cardigans, jackets and coats, made from 100% pure wool, merino wool, wool and cashmere, wool and cotton.
