Beeskin films are handmade in Berlin, in a small company founded by Christina Sauer, a woman aware of the enormous damage created by plastic and microplastic pollution, and aware of the fact that on average each family could save up to 100 meters of plastic per year. So let's start using less plastic – for nature, for the Earth and for our children and grandchildren!
Beeskin beeswax film is produced exclusively from organic cotton (GOTS certified), beeswax (100% free of pollutants and pesticides), natural resin and jojoba oil (organic). These films are therefore 100% biodegradable. Wrapping with beeswax is not a new invention, but it was just forgotten, until the last century in both Europe and America, there are testimonies of this home practice.
Beeskin films protect food from air and moisture and, like fruit and vegetable skins, allow food to breathe. The organic and unprocessed ingredients used in Beeskin films have a natural antibiotic, antiviral and antifungal effect: they keep food fresh for longer.
Treated with care, Beeskin films will be reusable for up to 1 year.
