Tolu essential oil or Tolu balsam is obtained by steam distillation of rosin, or the resin obtained from the incision of large tropical trees. This oil has a sweet and floral aroma with notes of cinnamon and vanilla. Thanks to its balsamic aroma it is healing for the respiratory system .

Uses of Tolu Essential Oil
To calm cough and respiratory tract: perform steam inhalations by diluting 2 drops of tolu balm and 2 of Eucalyptus in a basin of very hot water. You will obtain a balsamic and expectorant mixture with healing power on the respiratory tract.
To purify the environment: to purify the air in your home while keeping bacteria away, mix 3 drops of Tolu with 3 drops of myrrh essential oil and a little water and put in an essence burner, diffuser or nebulizer.
In aromatherapy : Tolu essential oil has a persistent odor and volatilizes very slowly due to its viscous consistency. In addition to purifying the environment, mixed with other oils it performs other functions.
