Mater-Bi® is a family of biopolymers deriving from plant sources, completely biodegradable and compostable according to the EN13432 standard. Mater-Bi® is developed and produced by Novamont.
It resists a maximum temperature of 80°C and is milky in color.
Mater-Bi® is used for the production of cutlery or, in combination with cardboard, for plates and glasses. In film form it is also used for the production of bags and packaging that wraps cutlery kits.
