The active plant ingredients delicately dye and nourish the hair, spreading like a veil over each individual hair. Your hair will be healthier and fuller, and will have more volume and a natural shine.
The result depends on your starting color and is always personalized: in case of light or gray hair, you will get a bright dark blonde or an intense medium brown. In case of darker hair, with this nuance you will get a darker and more intense chocolate brown.
INCI: Indigofera Tinctoria Leaf Powder (Indigo), Lawsonia Inermis Leaf Powder (Henna), Emblica Officinalis Fruit Powder (Amla), Eclipta Alba Leaf Powder (Bhringaraj), Azadirachta Indica Leaf Powder (Neem)
- Indigo is extracted from the leaves of the plant of the same name. Its extract dyes hair a deep blue, indigo, and gives hair a shade of intense character. In this shade, indigo gives intensity to the color and makes it darker, even if your hair is completely gray.
- Henna dyes your hair gently and ensures long-lasting results. The orange-red dye is obtained from the crushed stems and leaves of the henna bush. It nourishes your hair and gives khadi Hazelnut Brown its deep, brown tone.
- Amla is a fruit rich in vitamin C and has a very sour taste. Indians revere this fruit for its many properties: alma is effective against colds, protects against allergies and strengthens the immune system. This vitamin-rich fruit strengthens the skin, hair and is believed to stimulate hair growth.
- Bhringaraj is considered in Ayurveda to be a true fountain of youth for hair and scalp: this plant has fortifying, stimulating properties and fights hair loss and the appearance of gray hair. In addition, the bhringaraj decoction, with its typical dark color, gives khadi Hair Color an intense color.
HOW TO USE: First wash your hair with a silicone-free shampoo, such as khadi Amla Shampoo or Shikakai Shampoo. It doesn't matter if your hair is white, light or dark: khadi Hazelnut Brown can be used immediately and does not require pre-coloring. However, if you have bleached, highlighted or very damaged hair, we recommend pre-coloring with khadi Henna or Light Brown so that the color binds evenly to the hair.
Then mix the khadi Natural Hair Color mixture with warm water at 50 °C until you get a creamy consistency. To maintain an intense, cool-toned color, you need to keep the color temperature the same. By adding a teaspoon of baking soda powder or a teaspoon of basic mineral salt to the color, you reduce red reflections and increase the intensity of the color. By increasing the water temperature by a few degrees, you get a slightly lighter, reddish color. Distribute the mixture evenly through your hair with a brush: strand by strand up to the tips. If you only want to dye the roots, do not apply the color to the lengths and tips. Make sure to distribute the color evenly over all of your hair and massage it in well so that it coats every hair.
DRY TIME: Leave the natural dye on for 30-120 minutes. The longer you leave it on, the darker the final color tone will be. If you have already used this shade to dye your hair and you just want to revive the color, leave the dye on for 15-30 minutes. Then rinse the dye off with warm water only. Do not use shampoo for 24-48 hours. This is the time needed for the color to develop in all its intensity.
To fix the color pigments in your hair, you can use a khadi Hair Oil before the first wash, for example Amla Oil. Let the oil work for at least 20 minutes and then wash your hair with a natural shampoo. This will make your khadi shade last longer.
Every hair type is different, which is why the result may vary when using a natural hair color. To ensure that you are happy with the final result, we recommend testing the khadi Natural Hair Color on a small, invisible strand before coloring the entire hair.
