Thought is a London-based clothing brand that is the natural evolution of the historic Braintree brand, which was founded in 1995 in Australia. The company's original goal was to promote hemp as an eco-friendly alternative to cotton. In 2017, the brand changed its name to THOUGHT, maintaining the same principles of ecology and sustainability as Braintree, but with a more fashion-forward focus.
Currently all garments are made from eco-friendly fabrics such as organic cotton, bamboo, hemp, natural wool and tencel. The organic cotton is Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified. This means it has the official organic "seal of approval". The dyes are nitrogen-free (a harmful carcinogen). And the finishes they use are as gentle as possible on the environment, following the Oeko Tex® standard.
Thought believes that sustainability and contemporary fashion can go hand in hand. And so, they are proud to be the founding members of The Ethical Fashion Forum (EFF). It is a non-profit network that supports ethical production.
The collection includes women's and men's clothing such as trousers, sweaters, shirts, socks and accessories.
