The company was founded in 1884 thanks to the merchant and farmer Conrad Maier who began weaving in his living room and today Comazo is still managed as a large family business. The headquarters is in Albstadt and is one of the last German textile industries in the Swabia region. The company has 470 employees employed across Germany, Romania, Croatia and Russia. Comazo entirely controls the entire production chain: knitwear, dyeing, cutting, sewing, packaging and shipping. In the city of Albstadt all fabrics are bleached, dyed, finished and sewn using modern environmentally friendly processes.
