Fighter Ocean espadrille shoes in Fairtrade organic cotton

The Ethletic Fair Fighter are lightweight espadrilles that let you feel the contact with the ground giving you a feeling of walking barefoot. These espadrilles are made of 100% organic cotton and natural rubber and of course they are 100% vegan. You can use them on vacation, on a boat, for a walk and in the park. With their minimal style they are easy to match with many outfits.

NATURAL RUBBER : This is harvested from FSC® certified plantations as latex milk which is then made into a paste, rolled, dried and finally sent as crepe balls to the factory. The crepe is then rolled together with silica, sulphur and pigments etc. into a rubber mass. The subsequent vulcanisation process sees the mass baked in a special oven to create elastic rubber soles. Instead of using synthetic glues to join the sole and upper, latex milk that has also been vulcanised is used. Every single step is subject to FSC® principles.

PRODUCTION : The workers' rights association founded for the employees of Talon's Pakistani partner factory in the city of Sialkot is called " Welfare Society ". The company operates in accordance with the principles of fair trade and ensures that the employees also profit from the practice of fair trade. For every pair of shoes sold, one US dollar is paid as a premium to the company. An elected group of its members then democratically decides which health and education projects this money will be used for.
