MELAWEAR is a small German company founded in 2014, which has been synonymous with certified fair and organic clothing since day one. Their organic cotton collection includes t-shirts, hoodies, backpacks and sneakers in different colors and styles, the production takes place in India, in accordance with the Fairtrade cotton specification.
MELA means "acting together" in Hindi. Their textiles are produced ecologically in harmony with nature. At the same time, they maintain transparent social partnerships and ensure fair payment of all those involved. MELAWEAR selects its partners on site and is also subject to regular checks by the Fairtrade and GOTS certification bodies. All products carry Fairtrade and GOTS labels and therefore meet the highest sustainability standards in the textile industry. MELAWEAR takes a holistic approach to sustainability across the entire product range, from organic cotton cultivation to dyeing, fabric production and packaging.
The style of the clothing and backpacks is minimalist and modern, and the basic collection is available all year round, just to show that fashion can also have a slower and more sustainable pace.
