Washing and caring for your sweater:

1. How to hand wash your wool sweater

When washing your knitwear and wool sweaters, it is important to wash them by hand, never wash them in the washing machine as it can cause shrinkage. Lukewarm water is best for wool as very hot or cold water may cause it to shrink. Use only a small amount of detergent, too much can be difficult to rinse from your knitwear and wool sweaters, which could leave them feeling rough. Try to wash one at a time to prevent the colors from mixing.

Tip: You should never wring or rub your wool knitwear as this can cause pilling and stretching.

2. Drying

The most important guideline to follow when it comes to drying your knitwear and wool sweaters is to never put them in the dryer, as this will cause them to shrink. Dry it by wrapping it in a towel. It is important not to hang knitwear and wool sweaters to dry as this will cause stretching.

Tip: If your knitwear needs to be reshaped, do it while it's still damp.

3. Store your knitwear

The best way to store your knitwear and wool sweaters is to fold them. When storing sweaters it is best not to hang them as the shoulders will stretch and the weight will extend the length of the body. When storing your sweaters during the summer we recommend placing them in breathable bags to prevent mold from forming.

Tip: Put a lavender sachet with your sweaters, this will keep the little bugs away!
