Fairtrade Vegan Indian Henna

An ancient way to color your hair. A safe and healthy way to do it. TEA imports this first Henna from India, the product derives from a Fairtrade project, as it is supplied to us by Naturveda Biotech of Pondicherry, our commercial partner for many years. Henna, in addition to dyeing hair naturally, strengthens and thickens it, giving it greater volume. Regular use of Henna sanitizes and strengthens the scalp, disinfecting and sanitizing it. Henna strengthens hair, leaving it shiny and preventing the problem of dandruff. In Arab countries, the use of Henna is also considered as a good habit, and as respect for oneself, due to its natural antiseptic functions.

Variants: Red Henna; Henna Mahogany; Indigo Henna (black), Neutral Henna - 100 g pack

Does not contain: many commercial hennas contain Monosodium Picrammate, a fixative of synthetic origin that we do not appreciate, even if it makes the application and results quicker and more effective.

RED HENNA: Red Henna on brown hair with coppery highlights, on brown hair Tiziano highlights with white covering capacity, on blonde hair it has a red-orange colour.

How to use:

Prepare a mixture by mixing the necessary quantity of powder with hot water (50°) in order to obtain a homogeneous and creamy mixture. Apply to freshly washed damp hair starting from the roots and massaging it with your hands, then gather it under a shower cap and a wool hat. The humidity ensured by the cap and the heat are important factors for the release of the color. To obtain colored reflections, leave on for about an hour; to obtain a more intense color, leave to act for two-three hours, then rinse with water until all residues are eliminated and the rinsing water is clear. Then dry with a hairdryer for 10 minutes to get a better result. Over the following 24 hours the color continues to set and mature, darkening further.

Don't forget to protect your hands by using disposable gloves and clothes: henna stains are difficult to remove.

MAHOGANY HENNA : Indigo, Walnut Hull and Madder complete the mixture, mitigating the effects of the pure red color, giving the hair mahogany reflections with white covering capacity.

BLACK HENNA : Black Henna on light brown, dark brown or brunette hair with few white hairs, the color obtained has cold and dark tones.

Apply to freshly washed damp hair starting from the roots and massaging it with your hands, then gather it under a shower cap and a wool hat. The humidity ensured by the cap and the heat are important factors for the release of the color. To obtain colored reflections, leave on for about an hour; to obtain a more intense color, leave to act for two-three hours, then rinse with water until all residues are eliminated and the rinsing water is clear. Then dry with a hairdryer for 10 minutes to get a better result.

Over the following 24 hours the color continues to set and mature, darkening further. Where there is a good percentage of whites (above 20 -30% on the head) and to obtain the black colour, it is advisable to proceed with a double covering and reflection pass: the first pass with Red Henna (Lawsonia) for 10/ 20 minutes, the second with Black Henna (Indigofera) for 40/60 minutes.

NEUTRAL HENNA : Neutral Henna has a restructuring, volumizing, softening and regenerating action on the hair. Constant use regulates excess sebum and dandruff.

Instructions for use: Prepare a mixture by mixing the necessary quantity of powder with warm water to obtain a homogeneous and creamy mixture. Apply to freshly washed damp hair starting from the roots and massaging with your hands, and leave on for 20 to 50 minutes, then rinse with water until all residue is eliminated and until the rinse water is clear. Then dry with a hairdryer for 10 minutes to get a better result.
