Made in France.
Ingredients: Sodium Olivate - Sodium Cocoate - Aqua - Sodium Chloride - Sodium Hydroxide
- Marseille soap is ideal for the whole family. It is suitable for all skin types.
- It can also be used as a multipurpose household cleaner. It effectively cleans, degreases and removes stains from all surfaces and linens, even the most delicate ones.
Usage tips : Store your Marseille soap in a shaded and dry place. It is truly a living substance with a skin and a form that can evolve over time and according to its exposure to air, humidity and light. It will still retain all its qualities and effectiveness. Our grandmothers let it dry for months in their cupboards so that it becomes extra-dry and lasts longer with use.
For laundry : For tough stains, lather up the soap, then rub the stain before using the washing machine. On delicate fabrics (lingerie, silk, lace, children's clothes, etc.), lather up the soap with a damp cloth, then rub the cloth lightly over the surface, before leaving it to soak. Rinse with fresh water.
House cleaning:
- Walls, ceilings : Nothing like Marseille soap to wash and degrease walls and ceilings. Dilute a handful of soap flakes in a bucket of hot water. Wash and rinse with clean water.
- Iron: Regularly clean the base of the iron that has become dirty or yellowed by rubbing a piece of dry soap when the sole is slightly warm. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth or a ball of newspaper to make the surface shine.
- Brushes, makeup sponges : Regular washing will remove dust and makeup residue that has accumulated over time. Brush the brushes gently without squeezing them too much to avoid breaking the bristles. Repeat the washing until the water is clear. Dry them with a dry cloth, then turn them upside down so that the brushes return to their original shape.
- Mattress : To keep a mattress fresh and clean, simply wipe the surfaces to be cleaned with a cloth moistened with Marseille soap. Then iron a glove soaked in clean water to rinse and leave to dry all day.
- Strollers, baby equipment : Hypoallergenic , Marseille soap is ideal for maintaining baby equipment such as strollers. Wash removable covers in the washing machine with Marseille soap foam. For non-removable covers, wash with a sponge moistened with soap. For stubborn, smelly stains, rub with soap and a little baking soda, leave to act for a few hours to dissolve the dirt, then rinse. Allow to air dry.
- Shoes : Scrub the shoes with a soft brush soaked in hot water and Marseille soap and let it air dry without rinsing.
Suggestions
- To combat fogging and dirt on your mirrors, glasses... rub a small piece of Marseille soap on the surfaces and wipe with a clean cloth. Repeat this tip every month.
- Unlock a zipper: To loosen a zipper, use a piece of Marseille soap and rub the notches of the zipper.
- Erase a hem mark: To remove traces of a hem, rub Marseille soap on the surface, place a piece of tissue paper and iron with a hot iron.
- Stubborn stains: In general, rub dry stains, the collar and cuffs of the shirt with moistened soap before washing in the washing machine or by hand. For stubborn stains, proceed in the same way but leave to act for a few hours before washing.
About the manufacturer:
Savonnerie Fer à Cheval was born in 1856. The saponification process of the traditional MARSEILLE SOAP takes place in ancestral cauldrons: it takes nearly 10 days to prepare the soap, cooked in the cauldron according to the Marseille process. This ancestral know-how passed down by master soap makers through the generations has reached the present day.
Because it contains no preservatives or chemical dyes, the soap may be subject to color changes and loss of volume over time and with exposure to light and humidity.
Fer à Cheval is one of the founders of the UPSM (Union des Professionnels du Savon de Marseille), which fights for the certification of authentic Marseille soap.
This logo guarantees a soap made:
- exclusively from vegetable oils, without chemical additives, without preservatives, without perfume.
- in cauldrons according to the ancestral process, in 5 phases.
- produced in Marseille.
